hrm....I kept getting various errors on starting mission 1, but that could just be my old copy of Ares playing up. Stuff like 'too many objects' and 'sound not found' or something like that anyway.

first couple levels work fine for me too. Laguna, by old copy of Ares do you mean b5 / b6/ a7?

Hummm... It works here... Try letting the Cantharan recapture their planet... then recapture it your self
