Humans. I've always had a hankering for the underdogs.

I like the Humans in terms of favorate race overall in terms of net play and integration with the story in the game. I think they're the coolest.

But I also like the Cantharans. They had reasons for invading Earth, you know. Reason's I wont explain here. I really hope that when Hera comes out that Writer's Guide Grammaticus was thinking about comes out with it, the Cantharan's motivation is cool.

I like the Humans, only for their gunships. I have not done any Net play, but in the missions, they are very cool, especially when you take out a carrier, or something else big by hitting it with my autotarget weapon while avoiding it's shots. That is so fun to blow an enemy ship to smitherenes without him hitting you.

Yes, but that's not the point. Sure the Salrillians will crush human ships, that's only to be expected. The Humans are still cooler, though.

And I like my weather reports, thank you!

The Salrilians are awesome. And they do have weather reports, it's just they are always right.

You seem to be forgetting... the Obish are technically the underdogs. And I like them.

wow, i haven't done this in a while and i probably won't be doing much more ether.
Anyway my favorite race are the humans also. Your right that the slas have weather reports, they're just earlier and right. And has anyone ever heard of pandoras (however you spell it) box? In the story she opened the box and all the evil things in world came out except for one thing. That was the ability to know what was coming, that was considered eveil because people would have no reason for life, they already know what's coming. So they give up all hope because they know that eventually they will die. So i think with the salrilians, the prediction ability will eventually lead to their doom. (Humans rock, plus they have help from those really strong people, but haven't played in a while so i cacn't remember their name.)

I have a plan so ingenius even an idiot could devise it. We will line all our ships up and fly straight at the enemy death cannons therefore clogging them with wreckage.

I think I would buy models of the ships.

I too like the Sals but don't play with them much because the Auds are so much dang better. In a net game, unless the player playing the Auds is really not good, the Sals are eliminated easily.

Once I won versus Salrilians when I was playing as Ishiman. It was fun swarming the carrier and the other ships with my cruisers. Posted Image

Silly people! I wouldn't exactly call the humans or the obish the underdogs. You're forgetting the gaitori. If they aren't the underdogs, I don't know who is. They may own a lot of space, but they're slaves to the cantharans and their ships are horrible. Humans or obish could EASILY beat them down. And the gaitori are my favorite race, too. I love situations where you can't win, but have to do as much damage while going down as possible. They're so fun. Posted Image

The gaitori may be the real underdogs, but I still like humans more.

Yes, the Humans would beat the Gaitori, but they have a much greater 'cool factor' than the Gait, so they appear as the underdogs.

And on the subject of Ares Models... We (the moderators) got this cute little email from, I guess he was a kid, suggesting the same thing. He pointed out that it would be profitable, but you'd only have to make the better ships, like the Ishiman. Cute huh? Pax dealt with it... I wonder what he said to the guy...
