Since I have been banned from GR, I've been playing SPACE RACE THE MUSICAL a ton of times.
I've just been wondering: what strategies have you guys used to beat the level?
I've used a bunch of different strategies ranging from ambush, attrition, to all-out attack!
For those of you who haven't accessed this secret level, click here, click on misc., and then click on secret levels.

Sorry about your starship, Captain ga'Krüg, but as we say on Earth :
'C'est la vie'!
-Admiral Williams,
Shortly after the defeat of the 3rd Gaitori fleet.

I usuallu warp a bit further away from them ships and wait untill those carriers warp in and I make stew out of them, then I wait till those other ships arrive and mold 'em into debris, that's it (I'm trying to use as many as possible, just kidding)

Strange… just a moment ago I was flying through a dense asteroid field… but now I feel quite cold… And just what happened to my
H-Cruiser?!?

Baku's strategy for disabling their fleet is probably something like this :
We will fly right at their fleet, thereby clogging their cannons with space wreckage.
(No offence to whoevers quote that is)

[*]That is such an easy level...all you do is assign ALL the ships to follow you, and taking out everything is no problem.
[*]Oh, and Slug (a little off topic) and Baku, grow up. Maybe if you both acted a little more mature, game ranger wouldn't be a problem.

That's the first time my quote has been quoted! But about the tactic, I agree with KillerMacDude, all you have to do is launch your fleet into theirs. As for the level, its downloadable from the files section of this page I think.....

I have a plan so ingenius even an idiot could devise it. We will line all our ships up and fly straight at the enemy death cannons therefore clogging them with wreckage.

space race is so easy it's stupid. The only reason you'd want to play it is to raise your stats......hmmm....

Space race is a fun way to beef up your piloting skills if you jump right to the centre of the Gaitori gunship lineup. If you can dodge that many pulses and kill those things off before they fire again, you're doing well. It's a good practice level. Strategy is basically unnecessary though, except to say that targeting every ship you have to one of the gaitori carriers puts them in one place and will make you an anvil to the gaitori hammer.

So I don't feel alone, or the weight of the stone,
Now that I've found somewhere safe To bury my bones.
And any fool knows a dog needs a home,
A shelter from pigs on the wing.
