What is the easiest tactic to use to hit the gateship with the asteroids?

I'm not up to level20 yet, but I havn't played Ares that much anyways. The best tactic I have found to do in any of them is to distract them, while you build a big fleet... but then again, like I said,I"m not at level 20...

You just have to steer an asteroid to it by hitting it with the pulse cannon. Note don't use the secondary trigger, it uses energy whilte the main trigger uses none.Just do you best to steer an asteroid to it and don't get too close.You have to hit it 2 times then you fight a large fleet of cantharian carriers.For the carriers pick off the fighters and i thing there is a cruseir running around with them too.Afeter you do that swing by their sides pummeling them with the main trigger.I found this the easiest way to beat it.
