Does anyone know if the Ares application that came with Hera is compatible with Gameranger as I understand the 'normal' version can't play scenario files. It probably says in the documentation somewhere but I have very little time at the moment to search through it all.

I have a plan so ingenius even an idiot could devise it. We will line all our ships up and fly straight at the enemy death cannons therefore clogging them with wreckage.

Yes, fine, but can you play the Ares application that came with Hera on Gameranger?

Er, I don't know if this is just me, but with the 1.2.0b version of Hera, I can't play with anyone else on GR - at least not as a registered player. I'm also getting really frustrating crashes whenever I try and play a game of Ares, with EITHER version. I'm thinking its a byproduct of sharing pref files, but I still haven't tracked it down...

Hmmmm. When I use either version, i.e retail or beta, I have to host or I get a network error. I figured my problem was with the prefs too but changing or removing them from the system folder just doesn't help.
