It's not a PICT file. It is some other thing, probably a proprietary resource format from Ambrosia or something (they did the same thing in Mars rising, I think…). And it sux. But maybe this "Here" thing will enable you to edit the sprites... who knows?

Yeah, Hera will let you edit sprites and even though you can't look at the sprites w/ Resedit you can move them around by changing their ID #s

No, there is definently a way to view all the sprites. My firend did it, but he had to code something to do it...he said something about putting the SMIV code into QuickDraw...I was hoping someone could clear that up.

Machiavelli was this political writer during the renaisance, he basically wrote books about how to supress your nation and get away with it.

And if Vladimir refers to Lennin, then we have a politically charged thread here.

I knew machavelli was a political writer. But Machavelli was one of 2pac's aliases for a while.

Hera can do it. I love just looking at all the sprites, and naming them in the Hera sprite window. =) Fine, call me weird, maybe I am... Accually, I defenatly am...

Machiavelli's nation-supressing book was The Prince.

A book I recomend to everyone.

Anyway, I'm on the Hera beta-testing crew, and yes, you can view ships with it, but the program isn't able to export them just yet, if that's what you're after. I'm making Ares EVO and I was kind counting on that feature, but I'll just have to do it the hard way.

But some ships have a different graphic than their name. The sprite for the Aud. carrier is "Aud Battle Cruiser" and there is one called "Aud carrier" but it isn't used.
