Ares Briefing Room -- post questions about Ares here (tactics, technical questions, etc.)
Ares Officer's Lounge -- this is where the dignified officers kick back with a cool drink and chat with their fellow pilots and wingmen about Ares, life, and love
Ares Trash Talk -- This is an unmoderated board; all seriously off-topic posts will be moved here, and if you want to talk trash about someone, here's the place to do it. Try not to let it get too out of hand...
Ares Engineering Dept. -- This is for people who are working on add-ons to Ares, such as new missions, plugins, etc. This will become especially important after Hera is released (Hera is a GUI editor for creating Ares missions/plugins).
Enjoy the boards -- oh, and I'd like recommendations of who from the Ares community we should promote to Overlord status to help moderate these boards. It should be someone who's around fairly often, and is level-headed. Post here if you have any recommendations.
We also have some other cool new stuff on tap for you folks... I think you'll really like some of the changes we'll be rolling out over the next few months. I'll keep y'all updated...

I think Pax and Fleet Admiral Darkk would be good moderators. I also think Boba Fett would be a good moderator because he has no life and checks the web board thirty times per day.
hehe -- well, we'll need admins for a few things on the new boards, so it's great to get a few good nominations. I trust no one who was nominated would object to being signed on?

It's true, I get mad when there's someone particularly dense. You'll notice, however, that when a dozen gentle or semi-gentle reminders didn't seem to stop Rebel, the really torching flames made him realize how annoying his posts on already-discussed topics were. He has since changed his name and now really adds something to the board.
(heh... the politics of admin nominating roll on)
Rebel is not on the board. I know that. He hates us all, he hates Ares, and his life is R6. He told me on GR. He isn't on this board with a changed name. Who do you thnik he is?

It might not be as good as reformation, but still, Rebel *is* off the board... and I frankly think everyone can be happy with that.

Darkk spammed, along with many others... Soldier of Binki has been spamming a lot lately!
A LOT? Well, okay, I did post about three redundant posts in one thread, but that's MOSTLY it... And I made up for it by posting something not only relevant but (hopefully) usefull today so
I agree that Vegetta and Pax should have Overlord status. I haven't been around here long enough to really be a judge of anyone's character but Vegetta hosts a weekly tourney, and Pax has a lot of stuff on the Ares Axis and, well, he does the updates for it apparently.

Whoops... I thought he had changed his name to Admiral Sargatanus. Well, that's the point of changing your identity, after all...
It might not be as good as reformation, but still, Rebel *is* off the board... and I frankly think everyone can be happy with that.
Yes, I and many others are very happy about that. I know who our friend Sargatanus really is, and it an't Rebel. Let's just say he's one of our old friends from long ago...

However, I have been away from the board for a time, and perhaps things have changed in my absence. The above is nothing but my two cents, and, naturally, Andrew has a better hold on the situation than I do. Anyway, multiple, rotating admins will certainly solve the problem of "moderator fatigue" that Andrew and I have discussed. As to the question of who, exactly, should posess these "Overlord-doms," I think that all members of the Axis staff should at least be considered, and, with the relative peacefulness of this board firmly in mind, any regular poster with their head firmly on their shoulders should also be included.
