I am trying to write a weapon which will let you warp crew aboard an enemy ship. It will be a ship-to-ship beam, and if it stays in range long enough, you get control of the enemy ship, but if they go out of range you have to start over. How do I go about making a weapon like that?

The takeover beam is no problem, however the "reset" idea definitely is a problem... I can't think of a way around it off the top of my head. Pallas?

All that I'm certain of is that it will require some fancy stuff with the expire action... but I don't have a solution yet (and, of course, if I do come up with something, there's no guarantee it will work).

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?
