'SMIV' sprite resources...

Does anyone know of any documentation on 'SMIV' sprites that are used by Ares? The header files for Ares aren't very forthcoming(seem to indicate it could be any of 7 different compression methods...heh) and googling turns up nothing.

I'm pretty sure it's a proprietry format of some kind. Very Ares-specific, not something Nathan wants people toying with.
