Hello my name is Picard; I'm starting to make plugins for Ares, since I finally understand the game after owning it since it came out. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me develop a plugin called
Apollo: A Space Oddessy
Its a continuation of what happened after the Mothership Connection level (Level 20)
It will contain new ships (If you make graphics I'd love to have you on the development team)
Many new levels, new features.
And of course new weapons/outfits for the ships that exist.
If anyone is interested you can contact me at
Bteran@mac.com
Thanks for your time,
Picard

You might get better response at the Engineer Department boards, just a few blocks down.

We've already got a couple of after-the-storyline plug-ins already: Earth's Journey, Aftermath, etc.
And for your information, it's spelled "Odyssey."

sounds nice.
anyone notice how this topic immediately stopped getting views once it was moved to the Dept.? 11 views in the BR and only 3 here..heh. If you can make a good after-ares plugin that would be nice. There really aren't any good ones right now(and yes that means my plugin aftermath too )
Writing an accurate after-ares plug seems to depend on knowledge thats not available, namely the amount of systems each race has( if auds have 500 systems and humans have 2 humans = dead )
good luck. I'd offer to help you but seeing as that would doom the project I won't (just look at Vi and Ares:Override )

Pat, I think your sequel is really quite good. Don't put down your own work, man.
As for the new plug-in, I would be happy to bounce ideas around with you, but I can't offer much more. I'm in the middle of my own plug-in and Hera is giving me a lot to do already. E-mail me at cosmos_31@yahoo.com if you need help with the storyline or the general programing. Hera can be tough to work with when you're just getting started.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't.
