I'm creating a plug-in and it's coming along well but

1. How do you type in things for the Scenario Briefing?
2. Set it so there's a way to end the level?
3. Make it so you don't have to beat he level to get to the next, just beat one and all others are opened?

1. From the main window click the Edit Scenarios button and in that window click the Edit Scenario Briefing button. You only two choices I beleive in the pull down menu in the Edit Secenario window are Freestanding and Object.
2. There are many ways to do that you would have to be more specific for that to be answered. It involves the Declare Winner condition.
3. I bet if you set the declare winner condition to the last level in would open them all up but the player would be playing the last level then...

Here's a little glitch I've found quite a while ago. Hera's STR resources sometimes get garbled, or even erased.

Yeah, now that you said it, Hera seems like a highly...er...let's say...unreliable tool.

The string editor in Hera is quite fussy, but it only mixes up and garbles things if the user makes an error, which can happen very easily!
The best way I have found to avoid this problem is to leave all the text bits to the end of each section of a plug, make lots of back ups as you go along, and make sure you number each string every time.
Also, do all the editing in a text editor and paste it into Hera's edit box.
String Numbers 100 to 299 are not used in Ares if I remember rightly, this is the area where I put my briefing points.
Er, perhaps a read through the instructions would help. I know they're not very readable...
Hmm, slug did say he was going to re-write the tech manual a couple of years ago. I guess he's still at work on it. Perfectionists. Posted Image
