There is no way to make a ship that can build other ships. Instead, make a planet with defences. Also, you can not make a mobile planet. So don't try.

Battlestations is fun!

We'll just have to see if it really does work (still in theoretical process)

I really hope this thing actually works so we can show the world that ship-building objects that take orders are possible!

If memory serves, though, I think that the enemy AI does some calculations at the beginning of a level, and it may get confused if a base that used to be nearby is suddenly far away.
Still, the AI is confused anyway, so you may not be able to notice if it gets a little more confused.
Good luck.

Actually, the Astrome will only make 2 appearances as far as I know, and one is in a Net Level, so that's not important.

I'll give you a hint: The Base isn't REALLY building ships... but it's undetectable that it isn't...
Actually, the Astrome will only make 2 appearances as far as I know, and one is in a Net Level, so that's not important.
Let me have a guess...maybe an invisible planet that takes the build orders, then builds the ships, and a condition that instantly teleports the new ship over to the Astrome?

Oh well, we'll see if it works, and if it does, then we'll all know how.

This is what I do best in Hera - talk in a string of apparently incoherent words, then let someone else test it and realize that it actually works.
