Until Mr. Welch grants us an image gallery of our own, I've decided to set up one of ours [sorta]. Reply with links to your images or comments on those already posted.
Here are some images I made in POV-Ray of a Gateship from a previously unknown race I hope to put in a plug sometime:

It's a good model, but you really need to work on the color scheme.

Slug's right. REALLY right. However, it is a nice model. I really like the six stabilizer fins!

Tell me what you think, but I'm probably not going to change it too much, unless I hear suggestions.

The fins were the easy part. All it took was a little piece of knowledge, but that shows the value of one well kept secret...

The hardest parts acutally aren't very visable from above, they're the jumpgate system.

It looks a lot better, but GreyRed Yellow and Blue don't really all go. If you'll note, really good-looking ships use only two colors, not 4.

It'd probably look fine with Red, Blue, and Grey.

EV/O ships seem fine with 3+ colors...
IT STAYS THE WAY IT IS.
Now I'm working on importing it into Hera.

I can do it for you but im at my dads untill bracks over (1/7) Its easy all you have to do is make it into a spinning movie and then put it into quicktime then use the program mTos just email me a compressed strata modle

Yeah but then it looks all waboly and unstraight and there is no good shadow and the gateships are big and should have shadows and be smooth and my that way takes long and is hard to perfect mag if you sent me some of your files i could do it i will email you one of my fully rendered pictures when i get back(That i made myself)

There's a topic somewhere down the boards about sprite generation. The program "p2s" is currently all I need.

Well, that and grafficconverter and Hera Posted Image

I might soon have enough knowledge of Hera to start a plug. I also am working on making my sprites import looking decent (stupid dither).

What I find best is to orient the ship at 0,0, and rotate it so that it is always centered on 0,0. In Appleworks, create two documents, One the size of an individual panel, and the other 8x as wide and 3x as tall. In the smaller, select import from the file menu. It will place the graphic in the precise center of the window, and cut off what you don't need. Then you paste it into the larger, and repeat with the other 23 sprites. (Actually, I use a program called Dazzle Photostudio for the 8x x 3x picture. It lets me change it to the Ares color table immediately)

Hey, Darkk, I know the old RPG died hard, but I have a pretty straightforward model I mad of the Riaxx/Andalusa. It seems sort of silly and simple to me, but I like it, considering I have never used Strata 3D before. Now what the heck is that POV ray thing? I've been hacking out prints for years with photoshop, and I picked up strata easy, but POV-ray gave me worse nightmares than C++ did... damn...

Hehe, thanks to POV, C++ doesn't scare me at all. You just got to learn how to talk to computers, that's all. You'll thank me if you learn it when we all go to OSX and want to learn the core UNIX stuff.

hehe If I ever get around to making it look pretty, I'll post a picture of it, but they're totally different. Mine looks a lot more like something flying out of the crescent in EVO. Not that I don't like it. In fact, I think it looks pretty good. The only change I would suggest would be to not make the body width norrow before the engines, but whatever, its still cooler than mine.
