Ambrosia Software Web Board: Starmap Locator - Ambrosia Software Web Board

I was looking at the Hera information files, even though I'm not a beta tester, and I noticed the starfield locator thing. Can you import your own maps if you're planning to expand further into the Ares universe or create a new one?

yes. just open up the scenario file w/ resedit and replace the starmap thingie with your pic by deleting the old one and then pasting yours.

That's not quite right.

In the external scenario file that the developer creates, he may place a new picture of the correct id. There will be no picture to replace; the new picture will simply take precedence.

There will never be a need to modify Ares' original data files for any reason.
