Sorry, but I need some help. I have this project due tomorrow (yes,I procrastinate)

I need to come up with a current event about genetics. I have to write a report on it. Can be one page, a paragraph. Whatever, but I'm looking for stuff to do it on, and can't find anything. Help?

This is actually a rather interesting development that could lead to the development of various biological organisms (in this case, zebrafish) that could be used universally in genome research. The link is to the story on a government website, so the source is solid (if that is a requirement). Good luck! Posted Image

Thanks guys, I actually looked into all those already though. hehe. Thank you. I think I settled on something easy, cuz it's getting late, so I settled on...Avastin. Anyway, thank you so much. I'm going to read up on this stuff anyway though. Seems really interesting, I want to know more about the human genome project. I don't know very much about it. And oncogenes, and all that good stuff.

You procrastinate? I have this 2-3 page single spaced speech due in 6 hours that I'm about half done with and should be working on right now. Beat that. Posted Image

Wow, that's um...very...wow...I'm speechless. And you know what happens when I'm speechless. I just keep talking. And going, and going and going and going *beats battery drum* Hey! Did anyone ever wonder why it was an Energizer bunny? Why wasn't it an Energizer bull. That's what I'd like to know! Don't rabbits die within four years or something like that. That makes for a pretty bad battery. How about a bull. Or a horse! That's like 70 years. OR a sumo wrestler. Hmmmm...you know, that kinda thing. Well, yes. I think it should be the energizer sumo wrestler. There is my opinion. Take it or leave it. But you can't leave it.

No. I beleive the averagew life expectancy of a rabbit is between 8-12 years. I've had rabbits before.

I will. A few years back in my eleventh grade Honors Engish class I was set to do a speech on the American rail system during the 1920's (something to do with The Great Gatsby if I remember correctly, the second train speech I had to make that schoolyear) for which I was supposed to use a 2-5 page paper that I had typed up. Well it came to the night before my presentation and I decided to not write the paper and just get a couple dates for significant events out of a book that I own that happens to be about the rail industry in the 1920's (yes, I have very dull books) and write them on 4 blank pieces of computer paper stapled toghether.

The next day came and I showed up for class with my four pieces of blank-ish paper and my trusty microcassette recorder ready for my presentation. I volunteered to present when there was about 20 miniutes left in the class and proceeded to talk for the entire rest of the period holding my four pieces of paper with my trusty microcassette recorder (it was my old Panasonic at the time, I've since upgraded to an Olympus digital recorder alongside a top-of-the-line Sony microcassette recorder which I just purchased this past summer) running in my pocket, I'm very good at talking. I did it so I could rush out of the classroom without turning in my "paper" at the end of class. I went home, played my tape of my speech, and typed out my paper from it to turn in the next day. I've procrastinated to such an extent as to have run on negative time and still recieved full credit on the assignment. Beat that! Posted Image
