It sucks. The whole insinuation that LoTR is all about "gay love" pisses me off.

I don't think it sucks. It is intended as a humorous parody, not a serious work on the thoughts of the characters in LOtR. The only thing that is bad about it is the possibility of interpreting it as "gay bashing". I don't think this qualifies as all out gay bashing though...

gay bashing=bad

humorous parody=good

I would like to get the opinion of a homosexual on these diaries, and see how it comes across to them purely as a matter of interest. Not being one of them, I probably can't make an accurate judgement. If it does come across as offensive to homosexuals, then I would agree it sucks.

It really sucks to have a boring sig. You know, the kind that drones on forever and never really says anything. I try my best to never have one of those. Every time I make a new sig I try to get it to be a truly outstanding sig. Some people have sigs like that. With neat (EVula) links and stuff. Witty quotes are good too. But then some people have really, really, boring sigs that you'd die before reading more of. They just go on, and on, and on...those sigs really annoy me. I mean, they say nothing and nobody really cares anyway! I pity the people who have those.

What, in the movies? Who have you been talking to?
Aragorn gets married to a hot chick. Not exactly a surefire indicator of homosexuality.
Legolas we never see any indication of any sexual orientation either way, ditto for Gimli.
The hobbits-the most we ever see is them on top of each other after falling off a cliff.
In otherwords, little if any homosexuality.

In the diaries, there is definetly some homosexuality, but its a parody, not an actual attack.

Admittedly I am not an easily offended person, and I imagine there would be some (albeit dumb) gay people that would be unduly offended by this. I am not, I think it's intended as a joke and isn't really hurtful. *shrug*
