Does anyone else here like Linkin Park. I have finnally come to the conclusion that Linkin Park is my all time favorite band. I've had "Numb" stuck in my head for the last three days, and its the first song that hasnt bothered me by being stuck in my head. If you dont like them, please explain.

Feh, Ill post here a bit more...

I think that linkin park is 'alright'. A lot of people say the band is crappy/overrated/bad/synonymforbad. Well its awfully hard to call a band that is that famous bad, you really are speaking out against a lot of people. I dont own anything of theirs, but I can say that I enjoy 'numb' and 'faint' enough to like them reasonably. It really is kind of an acquired taste though, the first time I heard em, they were utter crap. As far as the music, it may just be screaming, but it carries across emotion better than most music today manages.

If that emotion is angst, yes.

I enjoy a few Linkin Park songs. In the End, for instance, is a very good song. They also do a few things I like - multiple singers, pianos, soft/hard alternation within pieces. So as popular music goes, not bad. Still. They really need to broaden their range of emotion / subject matter if they want to be taken seriously as artists. There's only so far you can go on pure teen angst.

That whole rap / rock thing is cute, but it gets really tiring when they keep using the same formula all the time.

Frankly, if you consider Linking Park to be the greatest composing group of all time, you need to consider shooting yourself.

It's fairly good. They have about 1 other song that is "fairly good". They have a bit of stuff that is mediocre as well. And then they have a lot of stuff that really really sucks.

Modern music sucks. Posted Image

It really sucks to have a boring sig. You know, the kind that drones on forever and never really says anything. I try my best to never have one of those. Every time I make a new sig I try to get it to be a truly outstanding sig. Some people have sigs like that. With neat (EVula) links and stuff. Witty quotes are good too. But then some people have really, really, boring sigs that you'd die before reading more of. They just go on, and on, and on...those sigs really annoy me. I mean, they say nothing and nobody really cares anyway! I pity the people who have those.

I've liked a couple of their songs, but they tend to get drowned out in the crap that is the rest of their music. I group them in the same box as Staind; mediocre with sporatic moments of genius in a genre of music that I don't care for too much.

They're ok..I like them enough to buy their CD's occasionally. A lot of it's sex music I think..at least the slow stuff...or so I've been told.

Whatever. They are a nu-metal band trying to cash in on the popular sound as of right now. Look for some good music

Voodoo Glow Skulls
Lost Prophets
Flogging Molly
Pretty much anything Nitro Records, or Epitaph, or Fat

I don't think Linkin Park falls under the nu-metal cachet. The rap influence is far too strong, and the metal isn't hard enough.
