There's another iMac out, and......it looks even wierder than the original LCD one.

I think it is pretty neat, nice wide screen. I don't know exactly how it would affect gaming and what not, but I think it's pretty cool.

Wow. New iMac.
It looks good. I have the ORIGIONAL iMac--the one with the 320 mh processor and all the bugs, so this one looks great! I'll probably get an [url="http://"http://www.apple.com/emac"]e-mac[/url] though, when I go off to college (just 1 more month!)

I find the new iMac undewhelming. A 1 GHz would be nice, but that won't happen as long as the latest Power Macs top out at that speed. I am also curious about the video card. As far as I know, NVIDIA doesn't even make a 32MB GeForce 4 card. It seems strange that Apple would lower the default RAM that the card comes with.

Although I can't say that the 17" widescreen LCD isn't nice. It's really an improvement over the 15" model, and it's certainly better than an eMac's CRT.

Actually, NVIDIA do make 32MB Graphics cards. I have a GeForce 4 MX 32MB sitting nicely in my G4 at the moment. Says [url="http://"http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=geforce4"]here[/url] that it maxes out at 64 for MX and 128 for Ti. Doesn't state that 32MB cards aren't produced.

I'm a powerbook man myself. I'm waiting for the next G4 PB to come out...

But the G4 iMac looks sooo cool. Maybe buy one just to look good in the corner, like in commercials.

I shall be purchasing an iBook in about 3 weeks - neat little thing! CD-RW, DVD - 600mhz, 128mb ram(I think). I'm going to get a new mouse and a keyboard plus I'm getting a KVM switch so I can connect it to my PC monitor when I'm not using the PC or doing a multiplayer game. It's gonna be snazzy! I've got all the basics for an emulator and I plan on rigging up the PC to handle Ares - Ares across an Ethernet LAN - with my innocent little friends - I WILL SLAUGHTER THEM!!!! Hehehe.... And then there is Nova Posted Image

And I'll do some work with Strata 3-D - I'll finally have the power. Going from 100mhz to 600mhz (G3) Will be a significant change. Posted Image
