Wicked is something I am no longer actively developing. It was essentially an experimental graphics engine for an unspecified game.

Its rendering methods were unusual, perhaps unique, and very pleasing, but I couldn't get it to the level of quality I was hoping for.

I won't go into any more detail, but the perfection of this type of graphic engine is one of my life-long ambitions, and eventually I hope to go back the drawing board and re-work it.

I wonder if it was a top-down freedraw thing like I was thinking about some time ago. Basically it would 'rotate' simplistic sprites like you rotate an object in photoshop. Difference is that the degrees available would be 360+ allowing for extremely smooth rotation, also provided that it was done with a top-down object. Or maybe a Lucas Arts type drawing, where everything is pixelated and very smooth (I still love that.)

I'm pretty sure it was rendered in 3D, judging by the quality of sprites; they were perfect for dynamic rendering but could have been much better if prerendered.

The view wasn't top down in the single picture we had of it anyway.

A shame that it had to die.
