See, what you do when somebody switches to auds after you hit begin (unless you're using sals) is you hit a series of keys, which are the following:
escape, q, h, a, h, a, h, a, return, return, return, b, u, t, space, s, e, r, i, o, u, s, l, y, comma, space, t, h, a, t, space, w, o, u, l, d, n, apostrophe(sp?), t, space, b, e, space, f, u, n, space, f, o, r, space, e, i, t, h, e, r, space, o, f, space, u, s, space, s, e, e, period.

Eh, I hate it when you're chatting with someone, and since you can only use text your message doesn't always come across right... I think I've scared a couple of people away that way - heh. You know, that happened to me! I picked Sals and did a cruiser rush, and I cleaned the dude out. But I mean, I warned him twice when we were in the chat room. I said "Dude, it's suicide. Don't do it." Then I waited and I said "I am going to wait to see if you change your mind. If you really want to use them then say that you do." No response after about 15 seconds. So I said "Your choice!". I should have made it into a long drawn out conflict, keeping minimal defenses and maybe even letting him think he had my planet. Then, transport is 3/4 the way there - cloaked fleet from nowhere come to clean him out.
Well, I didn't. Lol, I'll think of it next time.

I only play same race matchups. Otherwise it's almost certain that the race with the higher advantage # will win.

That isn't true, not at all. In some cases, yes, but if you are a better strategist and pilot you can beat a better race. (then again, that's assuming the advantage # difference isn't a big one, something like gaitori vs auds...)

Well that is assuming reasonably equal skill, which I generally do assume(doesn't do to be overconfident). It doesn't take TOO much thought to memorize ish/canth-2 carrier, 1 gunship gait/sal/human-gunship aud-cruisers and boom, there goes being a better strategist. Now of course piloting is a different matter and important(except vs audemedons) and after all, that's why I said "_almost_ certain"

Humans are better than cantharans or ishiman, which are pretty much equal...
But I do agree, strategy is quite useful.
And Salrillians can take Auds down easily with those transports and the like.

Yeah, I beat an Aud dude with Sals. He was building only like Carriers, which are not the Auds strongest vessels. I built a bunch of cruisers and gunships and I rushed him, and it worked.

The only problem with using Sal transports to win is that, well, they're transports. I've tried to devise sneaky strategies with them, but it is all too tough. That darn zoom to closest hostile.. "Hey, why is my view slowly shrinking..."
