Help
Today the gas company came to check our meters. I feel this is a vast infraction of my personal liberty. What is it to them what I do with my gas? They can check all of this at the station anyway. I have the feeling they're working towards finding out exactly how I run my life. They come at varied times, four times a month, every month and are always interrupting. They could just check the meter and leave, but no, they've got to knock on the door, interrupt my hookah party, and ask me silly questions about my gas connexion and if the flow is okay. I'm thinking of filing a class-action lawsuit.

No, no, no! You have it all wrong! The Gas Company's checkups are in NO way an invasion of privacy. They are a necessity to keeping you and your loved ones safe from the various harmful things that can result from faulty gas. They would not be doing their job to the best of their ability if they were not to knock on your door and personally ensure your safety. I get a true feeling of value when such personal attention is given to me, and my safety.

Of course, that's what they want you to think. There's no reason to change the composition of gas, other than to have a convenient excuse to enter your home.

I find it all rather amusing. I mean, I hope it's supposed to be. Oh, I also stuck in my own explanation for a sarcastic effect, not to actually justify what I was saying - I mean, there wasn't even any point in saying it! I'm not worried about the gas company. I'm more worried about the "Homeowners' Association" that comes once every two weeks to "fix" a leak with a valve they have in our backyard controlling the sprinklers watering the grass alongside the roads. It seems everytime they "fix" it, it begins to leak a few days later...
