I notice ups and downs on these boards. The biggest up points seem to be near the end of the year, ranging from around September to January, and the biggest down points seem to start in May and continue through August. I guess these are slowing down again because we're approaching summer vacation (for most of us).

One of you should post on the b&b or just chat and try to start a mass migration. You could also try to save the Avara board... they're even more dead than you guys.

Thankfully the later period of the down time may have a reverse-trend this year. It seems like a couple of larger plugs may actually be finished before too long into the summer, meaning that the community may enlarge a little. Unfortunately, we're going to have to fight a corresponding trend in EVN. Hence my special project. Shhhh.

<shrugs> The Ares forums were never horribly active, and with EVN out, there's a little big of lull in activity. It'll come back soon enough.

With only ONE variable. I think half of the problem was that Shrout, OV, and I all left. The other half was that Just Chat stelas our topics. ironically, they steal our topics because more people go there, and more people go there because there are more topics. It's an infinite loop.

They all go there because you put the TJON board there. That's what drew them all in. Why not start another one here?

I dunno about TJON - (What a time for an entrance )
Nova was the snake in the grass this time. But I'm back.
Good to see y'all. Ya know, do any of you use AOL IM? I have been having a lack of good conversation lately - if you see me online, feel free to give me a ring.
Anywho - yeah the Ares boards were always a little dead. Look at Nova - something like 100 some odd pages in the last 20 days! Was Ares like that when it was first released?
Oh, I've also got some goodies for you guys - some plugs I may hand over for more experienced people to work with (I've got some good ideas in them) ans some neato screen saver pics. I think it might be a few more days (weeks, months) becasue the computer I sit at currently will not upload or attach any kind of files - however I will be purchasing an olderish Imac as soon as I get the other 200$ I need, and since I am a man of limited fianancial resources, a couple of months may end up being the timeframe.
Anyway, I'll shut up before I wear out my welcome!

Ares wasn't realeased as an Ambrosia Game; it was originally published by Changeling. There also wasn't really a "devoted group of Ares fans" when Ares was released, since there was no Ares 0 to precede it.
