Yeah, I don't even have ares on my computer anymore, I'm a traitor!!!

Do you have any idea how boring ares is when you can't play on the internet? I can't even play mechwarrior on the internet, the only game I can play is quake 2, and my brother threw that out! Mechwarrior will let you throw together meele battles, just like Nathan will implement into Ares II. (once again, nudge nudge, hint hint)

I DID play ares, and I beat it, and I made a level with the beta editor. I have lots of other games on my computer that are more fun that ares now that I've beaten it. E.G. Unreal Botmatch , and Excalibur: Morgana's revenge. I also have my EV plugin to work on, and I'm working on the M5 project with the MMMG (you didn't hear that from me).

So if you think ares is the only game in the world, you're very very ignorant, and if you ask the other senior members here like Sargatanus and Sundered Angel, they probably don't play or have ares on their computer either.

Live with it, games die, and get reborn once there is a sequal. (Yeah, do it! You know you want to!)

I wouldn't call Cotton Mouse a traitor exactly, if he wants to play Mech Warrior more than Ares, well thats his desicion (however I myself would not trash Ares, even if I got bored with it).

I myself play Ares, EV, EVO, Mars Rising, and Avara.

Hold your horses, I re-installed Ares on mh computer today, and I'm already on level 13. The reason I trashed it is because I only have a 2 gig hard drive to share with 3 people. 200 meg of the stuff on it is mine. 1.2 gigs is my brothers, and the other space is for my dads apps.

I re-installed it because I just found another blank Zip, and trust me, I'll never leave these boards--at least not for a while, I might be gone for a year in about 13 months... Mechwarrior 2 isn't microsoft, but Mechwarrior 3 and 4 along with the mech commander games (which I REALLY want for mac) are. Microsoft (Bill's nickname) purchased FASA shortly after the release of Mech 2.

Keep on truckin', and
PEACE, YO!

what a filthy habbit, I really need to find some kind of a patch...

I have never actually deleted Ares, though I seldom play it anymore. It's there, and fun to play when I get bored of all the high-tech gorefests which seem to be availible at the moment. And, of course, I'm working on/off on a little plug. That certainly keeps me interested.

But the fact remains that there are other games out there, and if you are totally obsessed with one- well, that's just odd.

I admit that Ares is somewhat boring now, but soon *coughmondaycough* it will get a lot more interesting....

It's out, and I think it's a pretty good plug, although it kills Ares on level 5A. A bit after the first wave comes at me, it says "Recieved and unexpected request to load a sprite." Quit is grayed out, so I click on Continue. It either pops up the menu again, or kills Ares, saying and error occured. You might want to make Iron Fist 1.0.1. It does the same thing on other levels, too.

What part of 'email the bugs to me' don't you understand??!!
Sorry, I've been overworked lately. Now I'm working on another Ares project, but I'm not releasing any info yet.

Get used to topics changing, EMINEM. They used to do that all the time, when the boards weren't dead.

Actually, there's been a lot of debate between me and Zoë-o-tron whether to do that or a certain other project (no details yet). It was by email. Here, I'll post the conversation (after some editing, of course):

From: Zoësoft To: Aj Williams
8-18-00 7:43 AM EST
-------------------
Good job on the release, Aj. I liked the description even though its a bit [cough] unorigional. I dont understand why you didn't go with the Partone movie? What's the next project? Remeber we did promise these guys BTS.

From: Aj Williams To: Zoësoft
8-18-00 11:52 AM EST
-------------------
Hi zoz, no I didn't go with the movie; couldn't come up with a decent Part two movie. I don't know about Before They Sailed. We did say we'd give it to them, but then Ambrose scrapped it. I'll wait a little while more before we get around to it. I'm thinking of going with (edited out). What do you think?

From: Zoësoft To: Aj Williams
8-19-00 12:07 PM EST
-------------------
I don't think were ready to start (edited out). Are we going to go Meowx or what? Do you even know what version of PP you're going to use? I don't even have the Starlance storylinedown.

From: Aj Williams To: Zoësoft
8-21-00 3:46 PM EST
-------------------
To clear things up,
1 we're not asking Meowx. That's too expensive. I've found an EV shipyard and have emailed them. No reply.
2 Nathan Lamont said he'd tell me what version to use.
3 Starlance will be big and we'll have plenty of time to get a storyline.
4 I've got all the programming skills I need. Remember, (edited out) will be big.

Excuse the poor format, due to sloppy cut-and-pasting. So I will not be going with Before They Sailed, but rather, something big (no details yet).

You are aware that zoë-o-tron is Commadore Ambrose right? He (Nothing) admitted to it when I checked a few IP#s. It turns out that he was also Cotton Moose. This brings the list of aliases to:
  • Commadore Ambrose
  • Nothing
  • Cotton Moose
  • zoë-o-tron
Just so you know.
