Will Ares ever be ported to Windows or Linux?

Why can't I play WITH people over the internet, rather than against. I love fighting comps in Starcraft Posted Image

No they most certainly wont, because Mac needs their own cool unique software, just like PCers have their... uh... FreeSki or some crap like that.

As far as I am aware, Ambrosia has no plans to port Ares to another platform; their line is "We stick with what we do best: The Mac". Barrack, I believe, was a one-off.

And ganging up on a computer in internet play... An interesting idea, actually. It may be possible with the features offered by Hera... And if it isn't, maybe it should be.

Even better, teaming up against another team. Of course the only non lagged option, while still good, is an unlikely 4 people on a LAN connected to 4 people on a LAN. Then again, we have AirPosrt!! Posted Image

With HERA, it is possible for there to be 4 players in a game. Unfortunately, only 2 of them can be Human-controlled, and due to sync problems, it is recommended to only have 2 or 3.

I know that. I'm just pointing out that the only option where there would not be too much lag is the LAN option.
