I played it, and it sucks.

But if you want to know the best game by Amborsia, and a game that makes ARES look like "Advanced envelope making part III" then play Escape Velocity. Just for starters. That should get some of you going, then you can advance to a more complicated game called Escape Velocity Override. Don't waste your time playing ARES. There are much better things to waste your time on.

Do you honestly think that the people who play ares haven't played Escape Velocity or Escape Velocity Overide? 99% of us have. I personally like both those games, or I liked EV when it came out, now it seems pretty tired. Overide had a great storyline.

But I've moved on, I like ares because it's fun, it has a better storyline than either game, I like the scaling, I like the game. But it's not even comparable, because EV and EVO are both Action/Trading games, where as ares is an Action/RTS game. So take your bitchin' somewhere else.

If you don't like Ares, DON'T COME HERE!!! Ev and EvO are good, but can you network them? And how about the tactics? ( i know this will change soon with 1.02 but hey!) And as you've read: almost all of us have played EV(O) and personally I like them (though I don't have the money or need to register em' because I HAVE ARES!!).

Did you by any chance loose every time you tried to play through the unregistered version. (GAITORI SHIPS SUCK so I can only wonder how someone cannot beat them)
Are you one of them: "if I can't win, then it must suck" kind of a guy? If you are, then I pity you. If you are not, then you either need some notice or you just hate Ares so much that everyone has to hear your opinion (if I spelled it wrong, then sue me [I'm a perfectionist in English]) and both are quite pathetic reasons for starting a topic like this (even in the Trash Talk section).

EV(O) and Ares are completely different games. Meaningful comparisons of merit are impossible. EV is the game I played the most, that almost wrecked my gpa, but I play Ares now, because there isn't anything new EV, and I dislike the Override universe (donno why, just do - probably lack of developer support).
Next "Ares Sucks" poster needs to be booted. Dishonorable discharge. Flame wars aren't fun, and shouldn't be started for stupid reasons.
