It gets annoying. If darkk is a veteran and I'm not, something is wrong.

I was under the impression that the ranks of scrub and veteran were the equivilant of the old junior members and members, and so a "promotion" would be making your 20th post.
However, the reptile has a point, certain members of this board (ok, im alluding to myself as well) should be vets already, having been big contributors on the old board. I see the ranks right now as an incentive to spam. Perhaps this should be considered, and ranks should be appointed rather than show the # of posts made.

Hardware is right. You need 20 posts to become a Veteran.
Overlord powers are limited to: moving, closing, and deleting threads, and I believe editing other people's posts. Only andrew can screw with basic UBB code, where veteran limits are set, and I imagine account information is set.

Hey, I have no life. And I deal with it. And so what if I can't spell? I don't need to spell. Theodore Roosevelt was a hideous speller, so why do I have to spell well? Teddy was a really cool guy.
