I love Ares, but I've never played a network game.
I'm able to play Monday-Thursday evenings from 19 to about 23 o' clock (Sydney time, which is GMT + 10 hrs I believe), and on every second weekend.
Anyone interested?

Let's see... On Saturday I can probably arrange to be available from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. (-3 to midday GMT), and on Sunday from 7 until 12 (-3 to 2). Wouldn't this be from around 7 p.m. for you?
I only have access to a mac every second weekend (when I'm staying with my Mum).
... Actually I've just remembered that I only have one Ares-playable weekend (this coming one) before I tour to Vienna with the school band. Hmmmmn.

I'm back! We came second in the concert band section of the Youth and Music Festival! Pictures, for the curious, can probably be found here: http://www.sdr.com.au/band/
The 31st of July to the 1st of August is my next Ares weekend. Do you think that multiplayer games will work through an emulator (Basilisk 2 running on Windows XP)? I can do http on it, and I can play LAN Ares... Yeah, of course they will.

Windoze! If it works on a LAN, it should be fine. It's the internet connection that might cause problems. You may find excessive lag on the connection...
...one way to find out

Well if I can remember the dial-up number I could use my old (real) Mac with a 28.8 kbps modem instead. Ares doesn't use too much bandwidth does it? I'd prefer to try the emulator first though as it's much more responsive when doing things like typing in the chat box.
