Hey! Just wondering, what are you're favorite races to be in net games, scenarios, etc. I like the Salrilians, they're carriers rock with those cool zapping thingys. The Audemedon are cool to but they're ships look a little bulky, they still pack a punch though.

I like to be Obish. Then I remember I can't be Obish and choose Cans.

Gaitori because they suck, and you need some serious skill to do anything with them.

Mm, if you really want a trick try playing as humans.
That's a tough win to pull off, but you'll definitly have some respect if you do.

Humans, Ish, Sals.

Grolk are pretty cool. Their ships, next to the humans, look the most plausable.

At least, you'll have respect if you build something other than Gunships. Remember the rock-paper-scissors theory? Human Gunships have the advantages of both Destroyer-Class and Capships, but the disadvantages of neither

Salrillian cloaks and such have the most strategy, and I like their gunships as all-around good ships. But the Gaitori have the spiffy atomic pulses, and it's fun to play games where both players are using crap, plus they allow for some heavy strategy to win against other races, so I like them, too.

In conclusion, I like the Salritori, a mix of the two. Sporting very bad (but cool looking), grey, cloakified, and well-rounded ships, they are by far the coolest race out there.

Sounds like you'd like the Obish, if they were grey.

The Obish are too buff, see. And the grey was only because of the mix of white and black from Sals and Gaitori.

The Eleejee are the best. No doubt about it. Although to play with their ships you need a certain plug-in (Eleejee)
Without any plugs, I'd say Salrillians.

Actually, I found that the Obain rule the day. I developed both the Obain and Elejee plugins, + some other super Alpha plugs that never got off of the ground because they were too complex. Playing against one group of Salrillians with 4 times your resources and 2 groups of Gaitori with 3 times your resources each, you still smack both of 'em down without a problem. Of course, they fight each too, and the Salrillians clean them out fast, but you can take down the sals quickly. I'd say the most challenging mission in my plug is one where you have to destroy 4 asteroids floating through your system and all you can use are cruisers and gunships - the enemy is the Gaitori (now independent) and each asteroid can produce 4 times your planet, and the whole array of ships. Of course, I neve could get the stupid Gaitori transports to actually try and take your planet... Anyway, you still win. I was making the plug to show the strength of the Obish and to actually chellenge them in battle. (Phew, that was a spiel!)

One thing you have to realize about the Obish, however, is that the Escort is *not* actually the equivalent of a Cruiser. It has Class ID 400, which suggests that it's quite a bit heavier than what a Cruiser would be. However, I'd guess that the only real differences would be lower shields, slower weapon reload, and a significantly lower price. Still definitely worth it, as they'd be at least as good as Can cruisers.

Yeah, I don't see why the Obish or Elejee didn't just go in there and kick some serious bad guy booty quite a while ago - maybe that could be a plug-in, Vindication Wars or something; wrest the galaxy from the hands of evil.

The Elejeetians don't really care (they're a bit out-of-it), and the Obish can't.
They're more powerful than Humans, Gaitori, or Grolk, but any other race would be able to resist them - they're only ahead of the Gaitori because of Salrilian technology. I seem to remember the Obish-Elejeetian multiplayer plug making them very powerful. THEY AREN'T.

Yeah, I guess. I thought that the plug gave a real good view into what their other ships mike look like and how they might perform, and so I thought that since it was the best, I'd draw from it. I was playing my plug-in again (I haven't since January) and there are just all too strong! I was playing some of the scenarios again and it really hard to challenge them - you either have to tip the scale really far one way, or real far the other. If I up resource production in the planets they face much more, it will be impossible to defeat the baddies. If I keep it as it is, it's too easy. Plus, once you capture a planet, you gain huge wealths of resources to build your powerful ships and you've won. Too easy - too fast.

Give the baddies a player-specific resource boost, then give their planets SLIGHT resource boosts. That should solve both problems.
