Hello friends, old veterans, people who have arrived here since my long hiatus-

It is I, Vegeta, former moderator, tournement host, star strategist and best player(heh) from the days of Ares' youth. It's certainly refreshing to see that Hera has finally made its way into the game engine, and that there's even more people playing it nowadays.

I'm hoping theres a few veterans still around who will remember me, from those good ol' days of Officer's Bar #1 and Friday night tourneys.

And I extend my salutations to those who don't know me. You better watch out, if I start playing again you all might be in big trouble Posted Image.

Yea, it's a shame the Axis just vanished all of a sudden. I was looking forward to having an archive of strategies and fan stories and such. I don't know what happened, it appears what's-his-face sold it to someone else or he decided to do something else with the webspace.

Well, judging by the fact that it's an n3.net redirection url still under the title of 'the ares axis', I assume that pax or garm or whoever still own it, but because of the lack of any html, it just points to that crazy banner ad thingy.

But, it doesn't matter anyway. Oh well.

The Vegeta? Now that is a name which takes me back.

So you're back in the world of Ares? You've missed a fair bit. The first rash of plug-ins, the release of Hera, Footsteps of Pyrrhus (OK, shameless plug), and a whole lot betwixt and between. So, how are you doing, and what are you going to do with Ares now?

THE Vegeta?
The tourneys Vegeta?
Whoa man.

I remeber how you used to beat the sheeat out of me every single time we played until I totally snapped. I remeber how good it felt to kick your butt, even if it was with your weakest race, the auddies, and how good it felt to be grand champ of the world at Ares (even if it was for a week and against 8 people).

Will there be new tourneys? Please, those were the highlightes of my fridays.

Sundered: Excellent. I'm busy as heck these days, taking 5 college level courses whilst still in high school. Why am I here then? I need some leisure time, and the Ambrosia locale is a place where I seem to have quite a reasonable amount of respect (my EV plugin that I made many years back is still on the top 10 most downloaded list, and of course I'm regarded as a legend here Posted Image). Noone plays Myth 1 anymore, and all my buddies who played Myth II have moved on, so this was one of my few gaming areas left.

I just finished FoP, I thought it were quite nice. I gotta replicate that battleship weapon for some neat ships I wanna make. Which brings me to my next subject. Hera. yup, I'm going to try my hand at making a few plugins. If I can find time in my day to goof around and make some neat stuff, I'll do it. Just means I'll have to spend less time playing Ares though Posted Image.

Vegeta, old friend! Good to see you. I'm afraid I haven't been terribly active on the forums for the past while, but I always visit the bar(And look out for posts like this). Welcome back, sir.

I remember you - although really I'd consider you before my time as well.
More evidience that you haven't been forgotten can be found in the AE topic - I mentioned your plug as related to what storylines AE would include (Maybe you should check out what we're thinking on AE).

Interestingly enough, a couple weeks ago I dug up your AresAxis SN and stuck it on my buddies list. I never thought I'd ever actually be IMing you Posted Image

...And there goes my shot at getting the 4th mod position if Andrew ever puts it back.

Glad to see you back Vegeta, as I am with all people who come to enliven the Ares boards. My earliest recollections of this place involve me browsing the Ambrosia forum and seeing your name next to Replicant.
