The Ares Image Gallery

Well, seeing as most people on these boards want their own image gallery, and I think I might use one if we had one, I'm posting this here so we can use UBB code to use this like an image gallery. I'll try to get something up relatively soon.

Well, here's a link my first image to submit:

Enjoy.

Email me at vertical_file@yahoo.com with a review and a rating (out of 100) for an Ares plug, and I'll put it on the reviews section.

'Cuz only Andrew can give us one, and we've asked him before.
We should try bugging him again - once Hera's officially out, we'll have people making plugs all over the place.

And, might I add, he said it quite emphatically too. So if you do go go asking for one again just at the moment, don't be surprised if he hands you your ears in a basket.

From what I've seen, some people here are talented at web pages (being a couple of years out of practice, I'm not one of them). Maybe one of them could set up a webpage on a server with lots of free space, and in a sense create a temporary Ares Image Gallery...maybe until more people start arriving with a want of an Image Gallery and some of those games get worked on more. (it might take a long while, so it would have to be a server that has the ability to last a long time.)
Hopefully, some of our mods can help regulate that site, and it could be added to the "Web-links" section of Ares. (Ares has one right?)
We could then use nice ol' HTML without having to clog the EV Gallery with our pictures and Ambrosia's Servers with people commenting on pictures and links. That, and it would be safe from harm that unregistered spammers can do (unless they decide to spend time hunting for the "web links" page to find it).

Slug no longer being a moderator has nothing to do with the Ares Image Gallery, and everything to do with his petulance and immaturity.
In any event, re: the Ares Image Gallery, if enough people want it now that Ares 1.2.0 and Hera are out, I will consider making it. When it was originally proposed, the support for it was limited to a dozen or so people -- not really enough to justify it.
Perhaps some renewed interest in Ares will change that; we shall see.

You've got to consider that people haven't been making many Ares Plugs. Because of this, there hasn't been a high demand for plug-in designers to make Ares style models. Without models... they're no images for a would be Ares gallery.
With this in mind, it's quite perfect that Andrew hasn't given much thought to the issue until now (that Hera is out). This will increase the demand for models and show-offs.
By the way, if anybody does have any new Ares models, please let me know. We can definetly use them for the Ares Project TC. You can read more about that on our website.

I think it was following Hera to its completion that kept most of us here...
