How to join online RPG

I have to admit that this thing has gotten bigger han I ever thought. It depends where you want to be in. If you just want in for the battle with the StarLance, you could probably just hop in. If you're in it for the long haul however, the best I can do is tell you to start reading where you left off, and try to find the related topics.

Throughout their history these "unenlightened" beings have continually opposed and fought abuses of power wrought by their own bretheren. We, as the prophets would do well to learn from these Humans.

If you are the 8 lightnings from so long ago...its nice to see you back! You'll notice I'm one of the newer members (newer members, not newbie) that's been posting in Ares and Cythera.
Well, you have a lot of catching up to do...in both the bar (if you still care about that) and the story.

Bigger than you thought, Sargatanus? You and me both mate.
Really, I think that the key roles in the plot have been filled already. This plot is complicated as hell already, the main plot is running along smoothly in the background, and extra detail can only cause problems.
However, this is an epic storyline. For that reason, I think extra "mercenaries" can only add to it. However many battles are fought, it's a mere sampling of the wars that will soon be raging across the galaxy in this RPG. So along those lines- read up on the Starlance battle, and join in.

For the sake of the immature people on this board (and there seem to be a lot), add a comma after both.

True. Just enter your person as somebody who was hired to assist in taking out the StarLance, or much later in the future, Sargatanus. Please don't introduce a super-ship. We have way too many of those already...
And Mag was complaining my ship was too powerful...

As opposed to a giant battleship with technology to wipe out something in one blast, yeah.

At least the StarLance isn't some ego self indulgance.
The StarLance was the ship. Humanity was on it's deathbed; only one was ever built, and threw everything they had into it into it. "The outer worlds need money to rebuild their starving populations!" "No! Pour it into weapons research. Build the StarLance!" That sort of thing. Thousands of years of civilization, millions of years of evolution, hundreds of years of technology were poured into the StarLance.
And as for the 1-shot-kills thing.... no, not really. The Disruptors take several blasts (twelve or so seconds of recharge per battary, and the StarLance has three) to destroy a medium carrier, the amount of damage each blast does varies directly with the mass of the target, so something like the Phylydia II would take.... hmm... a short while to demolish.

Those who make up the rules, do not play the game. We, however, do.

*laughs*
Where I left off doesn't seem to be there any more, Sargatanus.
There's the small problem of how long I've been gone.
But, I'm in for the long haul, so where can I find some more details?

Sargatanus is leader of the Axis and merged with the Oracular Network (ON). He has a Verasi artifact in him that makes him almost a diety, but doesn't fully apreciate his power yet. The Arliacians are a small, prewarp civilization that has 2 Verasi artifacts. Competition after the Starlance finally goes away will start some interesting stuff.

Ok, I've read "The Buildup", and I've begun to join in. Anything else important?

Uhh, yah. You read about the subjugation of the Nijayias, right? I'm now Protectorate Governor for the Phylydian dominated half.
