I was just wondering what you folks think about the apple stock situation. Their 4th quarter profits are expected to drop 30%, and their stock has decreased in value greatly. What do you think will happen to apple now? Do you think this will be a terminal blow to the company, or do you think it will go on better than before?
Extreemly pesscimistic comments will not be appreciated .

Bah. The doomsayers have been predicting Apple's demise for a decade now. A little slip in stock value won't kill them, or even hurt them too badly. Apple's a survivor.

The people at school, all but one except me, are going to have a field day with this. Ugh....but as usual....Apple will live on.

Make fun of them when it rises back up.

They have jumped up 30 in a period of 2 days before. So when it falls 25, what is the big deal? =) I read some article where a guy was like, "Oh no, this is the end of Apple, I will be a dumb retard and sell all my stock at this super low, low price." Seriously, Apple was surviving three years ago, and look at what its stock was then. A little bit worse than it is now. Big deal, Apple has had like 8 consecutive profitable quarters now. Their sales are way the hell up from before. Do not freak out about this, it's just a small setback, I would guess the release of OS X will help balance this.

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

At first I was a bit stunned to see this happen to my beloved Macintosh making company, but then I started to think(oh no! now I'll be dangerous!). Apple has survived through many conflicts such as this, including the horrible dying reigns of John Scully and Gil Amelio (although I do like Newtons). Apple will undoubtledy bounce back, but I hope it isn't before I have a chance to buy a few shares of stock. (aaack! another 15 year old investor!) Hopefully their new iBook model will help. (Indigo iBook...pretty *looks at picture and starts drooling*)
And before you tell me, I know I have an over-excessive use of parentheses(see?).
