hey I was wondering on the development of ares for windows at any stage. ???

Both Windows an Linux versions of Xsera are planned, but the OS X version has priority.

is xsera open source if so I could work on the windows side ??

Yes, Xsera is entirely open source. Currently we have a developer working on Windows and Linux, but you can look at it if you'd like, and if you make any progress (aka a running Windows version) I'd be happy to look at it.

In order to get Xsera, you'll need Git (try here if you need it). Then figure out how to clone from here.
