It should dip into the low 20's tonight with maybe an inch of snow back in Albuquerque. I still get all the email alerts from UNM (they're still under the impression that I'm there as far as I can tell) and they've already rescheduled all of tomorrow morning's finals. I'd be surprised if they didn't wind up canceling the whole day by tomorrow morning.

CU, on the other hand, didn't delay s### this morning despite the fact that it was -10 with solid sheets of ice on most of the roads, atop the remainder of 3-4 inches of snow.

I've always wanted to try to slip "I am a vixen. Like a fox." into a conversation. However, it's not especially common for folks to refer to guys as vixens.

Despite multiple attempts by Spoonman and myself, this thread got boring very fast.

This is the ATT. Stay with it and it'll pick up again in a few pages and a dozen or so topics. :P

Either that, or people around here just know that a vixen is either a female fox or a woman (usually attractive) who takes advantage of men, neither of which describes me especially well.

I've never called anyone a vixen, but I've definitely used the word "foxy" before (though not very seriously). I blame Jimi Hendrix.

When I'm more familiar with a young woman, I occasionally switch from introducing her as "the eminently lovely and talented X" to "the eminently foxy and gifted X."

If the chicks you meet dig being called X, then you are indeed a man above men.

And they internally roll their eyes and call you 'cute' in the 'poor nerdy boy' kind of voice. :P

I think you underestimate the charm of the Pufervian delivery (or underestimate how much everyone who knows me expects me to speak more like a Dickensian character than a real person).

Is that down to the beard, or your tendency to wear 19th century clothing?

Nah. I generally lay off the 19th century clothing.
