I feel your pain.

My friend had a weird reaction to Jagermeister the other night. He looked like he'd been 10 rounds with Rocky. He too, is off the piss.

For the rest of his life? I've just been diagnosed with a liver/lung genetic deficiency. No more drinking from now on...

Sorry Lek. :P

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with some kind of incurable digestive enzyme disorder. He's no longer supposed to consume anything containing sugar, and isn't supposed to eat hard-to-digest foods. He now basically survives on condensed chicken soup, water, and vitamin supplements.

Now that one does suck. Mine isn't quite that bad, I basically have a weakened liver and lungs. So smoking or being close to smokers is a very big no no, and drinking is right up there also.

The main advice seems to be eat healthy, stay fit and try to keep my body in as good a shape as possible. So not really all that big a difference!

Just out of curiosity, how'd that get that diagnosed?

4 blood tests. Started off with a list of stuff they couldn't diagnose, so did the standard "Lets take your blood, and work out what the hell is wrong with you".

The first one picked up a liver discrepancy, so they waited a month and took another one. The readings got worse so they took some more to do a series of liver tests. After that they picked up that I had the deficiency, so I had to go for another one to narrow down exactly which version I have.

I'm terrified of needles, and hadn't ever had a blood test before the first one. Needless to say, they weren't fun :P

You have a choice of punchlines:

1: Hey, what you get up to in your private life is your own business!

2: That's what she said!

When I scroll past this, half the time I see "mocktail" as "molotov cocktail."
I wonder if that says something about me.

I'm largely intolerant to sugar. Which is lame. But alcohol sure is great! :P

Yes, then read all the comments accompanying the results. Especially the ones saying it's a waste of time...

Yes, the results (and comments) do paint a fascinating picture of the way the leadership of a nominally democratic society will often choose to ignore democratic principles when to abide by them would result in a shift of political power away from the currently dominant faction.

Are we not blessed to live in a society devoid of the hypocrisies engendered by the democratic political process?

Would this be a bad time to mention how much I love you, SA Ephrin?

Now now, we'll vote again in January. You'll all have your chance then. In the mean time, look to CaptainTripps for your spiritual guidance; after all, he is the B&B Pope.

Oh dear. It appears that your administration lacks effective internal communication. Pufer should be able to enlighten you on what constitutes the spiritual light of the ATT.

Hint: It's highly saline.

Well that's too bad. We only have one electrical outlet and we need it for the George Foreman.
