I wanted to start a topic about MDK on the Just Games board, but after searching for the name of the game, I found that there was already an ancient topic about it. So if I dig up that one, I'll be a gravedigger, but if I start a new one, someone might find the old one and that might not be good either.

So share you wisdom, then derail the topic.

When in doubt, post a new topic.

Yeah, for a general discussion, especially on a topic that's years old, starting a new topic is OK.

If the topic is less than a month old, post in there.
If the topic is years old, start afresh.

Two moderators and a Rickton. That's good enough for me.

I hereby declare the topic to be about what would happen if the old Ambrosia logo went against the new Ambrosia logo in a game of Pong.

That'll have to be a write-in.

Not to mention, where's the Taz option? KY Jelly? Anything radioactive? C'mon man, you've not even trying there.

Quicknote. You might link to the old topic if you find content there that is relevant (just in the first post). That will keep the "why didn't you use the search feature!" crowd at bay. Happy posting.

Some members have a status that allows them to revive old topics. Captaintripps used to (or maybe still does?) bring back a topic about some Jewish holiday every year.

The poster in currently in question certainly does not have such a status.

Personally I think gravedigging is perfectly fine, the only qualification is that you actually add something worthwhile to the topic. Answering a question that got posted 4 years ago is not contributing, because chances are the person who asked either stopped caring long ago or got it answered somewhere else long ago. Posting "me too" is similarly worthless. But if you have another take on something, go ahead and bump it.
