you may have heard me complaining lately about wanting to see everyone's characters in their ball attire, or even have -any- sort of visual reference (after all, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?) i've since come to the conclusion that this will only be remedied if i take the initiative, since Moonshadow has disappeared yet again, and all our other artists are too shy to show their work. :P

if any of you have your own character art already, post it here; i'd love to see it and i'm sure so would everyone else. but if you don't, i'd be glad to try for you! provide me with as much or as little description as you want (though more is better, because if you give me less i'll still be asking you tons of questions.) the only thing i warn against is that i'm no good at drawing armour, so asking Ragnar0k would be your best bet in that case.

i've so far drawn Katerei a couple times, as well as Retsy in her ball gown. Avatara is my next goal, but i'm up for requests in the meantime too. so... any takers?

Shy? I'm lazy and don't have a scanner. And it takes a fair amount of effort when I want to do a drawing.

Show-offs! ...with talent :P

Wish I could draw like that.
Hah, wish I could draw, period.

I'm not good at drawing humans and both my characters at least look humanoid even if ones only half human. Actually I'm not much good at drawing period, though especially bad with humans.

My friend recently showed me how to draw manga style, and I was rather surprised to find I can actually draw. So I drew a picture of Cat to celebrate.
Here.
I'll get better with practise.

I've never played Cytheria or visited this forum before, but this thread caught my eye.

I'm sorry if I'm muscling in on the topic starter's business, but I love any excuse to draw and would be happy to help out. If you're okay with a nice (as in, not on lined paper and done with a respectable amount of effort) pencil sketch of your creation, feel free to sling a PM my way. I probably won't get started on it before the 23rd because of exams, and I'll only have access to a scanner for about a week afterwards so I won't be much good for some ginormous wall poster or more than three pics, but I'm still game.

This is the closest thing I have to fantasy art

Okay, second closest thing. In fact, that's...well, one of R0k's characters.

Until then, you know what you gotta do? You gotta get on outta here with that alley-cat-coat-wearing, hush puppy-shoe-wearing crumbcake I saw you with. Cause you dismissed! That's right, Silly rabbit, tricks are made for kids, don't you know that. You without me is like corn flakes without the milk! This is my world. You're just a squirrel trying to get a nut! Now get on outta here. Scat!

Don't touch that coat...

not at all! i believe having more artists around is definitely a good thing. i'm always glad for a chance to learn from other people, and besides, different artists' styles give people more options how they'd like their character done.

Fishloaf?!

HA! Good to see you. Catching some of your sketching makes me feel a little bad about the lack of my own, I have some practice work done (also a "nude" sketch that didn't come out terrible) but I haven't brought up a Real sketch since Maladera (this would be her first iteration, not the Novabar concept).

I have to motivate myself to start up again and I suppose guilt is as good a factor as any.

Thanks guys. It helps that I don't have anything else fun at my disposal, or otherwise I'd have as much trouble getting started too.

I'm interested in doing one of Avatara too (among any other impromptu ones), except I have absolutely no description to go off of. Anyone care to shed some light?

see, i told you i'd draw Avatara eventually, and i did! better late than never, no?

Posted Image

i didn't have much of a reference to go from, Avatara just gave me a vague 'he looks like me, but scruffier and with more hair since he's been in prison' answer. it's not even known how -old- the character is, let alone what he looks like, so if it's not what you had in mind, Av, you need to give better descriptions. :P
