Yep! But you'd probably get more out of a wall than a ruffian. Hang on, what about the ruffian in the farm where you rescue Ariadne?

His is white, for some mysterious and ironic reason.

But surely he should have black, as he kidnapped Ariadne?

I bet the Kesh he's taking makes him appear to be white because you can't sense his evilness!

Hmm, if his is white, I wonder what color one's character's portrait when one talks to him after one has just killed all his henchmen...

I suspect that his is white because, although he has done something evil in the story, he hasn't actually done anything—in the farmhouse area—that the game considers to be evil.

Besides our own, does anyone's ever appear anything but pure white?
I'll become even more undignified than this

I personally agree with Jehezekel.

Okay so the color of your name is your karma. So how does karma effect the game and who does it effect?

If your karma goes low enough, people won't talk to you and you get chased out of towns... I think. I got it secondhand, so I'm really not sure.

I can't really say: I don't think that I've ever gotten my karma low enough to have a very noticeable effect, although I have heard of incidents similar to the incidents that CrazyChick describes.
