I think I have a bit of Irish. Maybe.

But i'm most visibly Swedish, the other heavy-drinking nationality.

I'm 1/8 Irish and a mix of several others.

I didn't wear green today *waits for pinch*.

Ever since prohibition, we can look at any other nationality on the face of the planet and call them heavy-drinking comparatively (possible exceptions of Islamic and heavily Buddhist nations). I have Italian, Irish, German, British, Swedish, French, and Luxembourgian blood (in order, as far as I can tell) swimming around in my veins, each of which takes their drinking a lot more seriously than we do here.

Yeah, Christians are supposed to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent, but apparently whenever St. Patrick's day falls on a Friday corned beef doesn't count as meat. :P

Yes... that was great. I had lots of meat yesterday.

My birthday is also in Lent, but it is on the feast day of St. Joseph; that gives me religious freedom from all those Lent things on my birthday. Two years ago when it was on a Friday, I was allowed to have meat. It's rather nice.

For those wondering: Yes, the feast day does have a direct relation with my first name.

I spent most of St. Patrick's Day either on public transportation or waiting around in Boston's North Station freezing my ass off waiting for my train to arrive.

It sucked.

EDIT: And the irony is, I'm part Irish. :P

I don't need to wear green on saint patrick's day because my skin is white, and white is every color.

All one needs to do is look at me through a prism.

Guys, I hate to tell you, but St. Patrick's day was a long time ago.
Then again, this is somehow one of the most on-topic topics in ATT.
Carry on.

Anyway, with the discussion at hand, I'm not Irish, but I am Scottish.
Almost the same thing.
Almost.
