Meanwhile, Alaric was watching Magpie try to put out the fire by himself. He wasn't too terribly concerned if his secret police should fail; he had other resources and figured that the movement would die out anyway if Ascalon was leading it.

So Magpie decided to employ his superior strategizing skills and turned the library furnace into a barbeque fundraiser to gather up the money necessary to rebuild the palace.

Half Truth, there aren't three people in between you and your last post, but that is okay as I was going to make an alteration to the rule anyway. Thanks for keeping this going by the way.
If no one has posted on this for several days (at least three, I had planned on a week but this I think will be better), anyone (even if is a double post) may do so.

Meanwhile, Hector had defected to Ascalon and planned to lead his forces in a daring attack on Land King Hall...um, that is a daring attack on the ruins of Land King Hall.

But the smell of freshly cooked rat was too good to pass up, so Hector and Ascalon settled for a warm picnic on the cool grass outside.

Alaric took advantage of the picnic to arrest Hector and Ascalon for not having a picnic permit. (Incidentally, this permit didn't exist until he made it up just at that moment.)

Alaric, after looking around nervously for a few seconds, stepped back outside. Then, he told Magpie to go get some parchment and rebuild Land King Hall—by himself if necessary—in one day.

Magpie on the other hand had already started a scaled model of the Land King Hall. It was aproximatly 9x9x9 cm, it also had a scaled model of Alaric being swarmed by the rat lizards and a scaled model of Magpie making a scaled model of Magpie making a scaled model of Magpie making a scaled model of Magggppppppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

Unfortunately, the model had not correctly captured Hector's axe accidentally falling down to crush the scale model. Magpie sighed and prepared to make another attempt.
