Yeah like a poll asking the ultimate question: who is better Adam West, Adam West or Adam West...
And you post this frivolous stuff up here! For shame!

Second, it's just annoying seeing things like that take up the borads, (which are obviously full of mind-stimulating topics...)

Same here.

What should we call this new discovery?
You put what in my Power Mac?

What new discovery? This is page 2, and I see no reason to check page 1.

He's probably on the three month long flight home from New Haven. :P

I can picture him at the ticket counter:

"But my frequent flyer miles are good until 2007!"
"I'm sorry sir, but there aren't any tickets available to frequent flyers on any flights in the next three months."
"I need to get home to New Zealand! Er, I mean, Australia."
"If it were New Zealand, then we'd be able to put you on a flight tomorrow. But unfortunately all of our Australia flights are booked."
"Curse you! If you will not give me a ticket, I shall sit here and wait until I can get a ticket."
"In an airport terminal?"
"Yes, in an airport terminal. Wasn't there some movie about a guy staying in an airport terminal?"
"Yes, I think it was called The Terminal."
"Well, then, I can bloody well sit around here too."
"Excuse me, but I don't think you're quite up to the standard of Bill Murray."
"Bill who-zit?"
"Bill Murray."
"Who's he?"
"He was the star of that movie, if I recall."
"And what does that have to do with me?"
"He was up to the challenge of staying in an airport terminal. You're not."
"Are you questioning my character?"
"I'm questioning your determination to stay in an airport terminal for three months."
"Well, we'll see who's right and who's wrong here."
"Alright. But my shift ends at six, and I don't intend to stick it around."
"So you're not up to the challenge either, eh?"
"I never claimed I was."
"I'm twice the man you'll ever be."
"I'm a woman. The quote marks didn't reveal that before."
"Oh, sorry. Pallas should really be more descriptive in transcribing this conversation."
"Yes, I suppose I can agree with you on that, even if I don't think you can sit around for three months in an airport terminal."
"Why do they call it a terminal anyway?"
"Because it's where flights start and end. Terminals."
"But I thought terminals were the things you ran Unix programs on. You know, /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app."
"Sir, this isn't strictly relevant to the conversation. And there are still no flights to Australia."
"Bloody hell! I can waste the time of anyone still reading this conversation, but I can't get back to the down under?"
"That really didn't make much sense. I'm not sure you used 'down under' correctly."
"I'm not the Crocodile Hunter. I don't have to conform to stereotypes about Australians. I'm not even Australian. I'm from New Zealand."
"Oh, well we have plenty of flights to New Zealand."
"Bloody hell!"

Bill Murray wasn't in the terminal, that was Tom Hanks.

Oops. I didn't see the movie, so I wouldn't know. I don't think the lady at the ticket counter would've thought that SA was up to the standard of Tom Hanks either. Of course, I have the utmost confidence in our august moderator; I was merely conveying the lack of confidence expressed by a fictional character.

You should read it, it's interesting. I wouldn't say the best, but the ideas behind it all are cool.

I haven't heard anything about the movie.

I think you got SA's accent wrong.

SA is our Australian mod who goes to Yale. I was hoping he'd be around at Yale, because I'm visiting it (aren't we all rising seniors visiting colleges?) next week.

Actually, some of us just finished Freshman year at college (I'm thinking at least Avatara and myself). As for Yale... I liked the architecture of Branford college, but I don't remember anything else that distinctive about it. Besides, I'd feel silly taking MetroNorth into and out of NYC (though I admit it would be far more pleasant than SEPTA/NJT).

Don't university classes for most of the country start in about a month?
