Let me guess...the page didn't load so you clicked "Add Reply" again.

Gah, it's not my browser then.

Although kitties and bunnies are both good, it's best not to combine them.

They do more than that, if you hold them they are really nice. Better for the evil stroking of an animal when you are think, then cats, who usually are used.

Also, in my opinion guinea pigs are smarter.

Felix Catus, is your taxonomic nomenclature,
an endothermic quadruped carnivorous by nature?
Your visual, olfactory and auditory senses
contribute to your hunting skills, and natural defenses.

I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations,
a singular development of cat communications
that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection
for a rhythmic stroking of your fur, to demonstrate affection.

A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents;
you would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aide in locomotion,
it often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.

O Spot, the complex levels of behaviour you display
connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.

Pfft, I have it memorized anyway.

No, seriously, I actually did memorize it. One day I'll try to memorize The Hunting of the Snark (right now I've only a few stanzas of the first section).

Hmm... well, here's the part of Hunting of the Snark I do remember:

Quote

...

He had twenty-eight boxes, all carefully packed,
with his name neatly printed on each.
But since he omitted to mention the fact,
they were all left behind on the beach.

The loss of his clothes hardly mattered, because
He had three coats on when he came.
But the worst part of this unfortunate affair:
He had wholly forgotten his name!

He would answer to "Hi!" or to any loud cry
Such as "Fry me!" or "Fritter my wig!"
To "what-may-you-call-um" or "what-was-his-name?"
But especially "thing-um-a-jig."

While for those who preferred a more forcible word
He had different names from these.
His intimate friends called him "candle-ends"
And his enemies "toasted cheese."

...

It may be worth noting that there was a rather old Mac game called "Cheese Toast" which I believe was essentially a Maelstrom clone. I always tended towards Asterax, myself.

No, Asterix is a popular French cartoon (or as they call it, une bande dessinée) which chronicles the tales of the Gaulish hero Asterix and his friend Obelix in their escapades around the Roman world. They hail from a region which is synonymous with present-day Brittany, and have names modeled upon the pattern of such names as "Vercingetorix", an authentic Gaulic chieftan of the era.

This is not to be confused with the Classic game Asterax, which is an asteroids variant. It includes three different ship classes (the Mantis, the Moth, and the Crab) and the ability to upgrade your ship by means of a type of money (resembling a green jack) released from some asteroids as they are destroyed.

I used to have Asterax, until my latest hard drive failure.

Was a fun game, but two-player never worked well because my brother would get run over by an asteroid before wave three. Its better to just solo all the crystals then.

I think the real problem with Asterax was the 'safe shots.' Once you had those, it was possible to attack blindly as much as you wanted, with no risk of ever really getting hit. You could keep upgrading and upgrading... eventually you wouldn't even need money and could switch for submunition shots or something. I don't think I ever got quite to that point, though. I have a limited attention span :P
