You haven't seen those "innovate your life" commercials, showing off the Windows Media Center?

And bypassing the censor will get you in trouble someday.

As far as windoze goes, lemme say this: I'm probably gonna get a free old ThinkPad, and I'm gonna replace Windoze 2000 with Linux.

Well there was one one where she was around, but so were a few other people. And another thing you told me you did. But let's not discuss this anymore. At least not here.

DE: You will want to talk to somebody that knows about Linux. I sort of fit that description.

If your mouse doesn't work, update your kernel.

Make sure you own and operate another computer that can do everything you need it to, or have a lot of spare time for experimenting with it. If you figure out how to get on the Web with Basilisk II and Ethertap, I need help.

Well i had a friend who was supposed to help me with something today. I am working on a dead hard drive. It is dead by a software malfunction and not hardware. So if anyone here has any tools that can help me to rewrite an ntfs file system onto the hard drive to fix the problem, any help would be nice

More details. Is this a boot-time issue, or what?

Well it is if i am trying to boot from it. It sees the hard drive for what it is, a 20-gig so and so. I get into windows, and then i try to access it and it says "File System Unknown". All i can figure is that the file system became corrupted when i tried to reformat it at one point. It started trying to reformat, but sat for 10 minutes with no success of reaching 1%. So i don't know what happened to it.

Bad sector in a bad place, possibly.

Boot from something else and see if you can read it from there.
