It depends on how you define "original." Av, SA, Sarge, Laguna, and Pallas Athene were all kicking around prior to the period of the great die-off, so they are certainly original. The dead boards era was almost exclusively run by TheJ and dude3, so one could say that all those who can remember a time when SJD (and, later, Vanilla Coke is Made of Pandas) was the only topic on ATT could be originals. The post-apocalyptic era (eRP) brought the rise of Znorty, Azzy, and I, even though we had contributed prior to that, so I suppose that we, and everyone before us, could be considered originals. The beginning of the golden ages probably began with moony, all the people already listed, forge, Admiral Dennis, and a few others, so another set of potential originals could be seen there. Our man LOBF and the rest of the clan followed shortly, so this group of originals would be the folks who had seen the golden ages and can remember the Great Locking. You could also decide that all the people who had posted on ATT before the UBB to IPB switch could be originals as well.

If you were to ask me, though, I'd say that everyone who can remember moony's first conversation with forge is an "original" to the new era of the ATT, but that's just me. I also make no claim to the relative accuracy of the above scheme of ATT history, that's just how I remember it.

That's still amusing. "Hey, you should lock every topic for the past 45 days."

Songs.  Songs?

I don't own a computer that will run iTunes, nor do I really own anything that lets me rip cd's onto my computer.  Dredging my memory back to the college Napster days produces no good results, I've had a hard-drive crash since then and thus all of my music no longer has a proper creation date.

However, I could regale all of you with some of my favorite songs from the last few albums I've purchased.

I hear you about not wanting to clog your computer's memory, I'm really selective now when I download-the old Napster was a crazy free-for-all but now that there's cost I like that now you can at least hear the whole song before purchasing it. Promptly learned after being teased by their latest racy commercial. If your interested it's at getthewholething dot com but anyway-I find the option convenient I've been burned in the past before-as you can probably tell.

I read about a paragraph of Ulysses and then got bored.

I came to ATT when I saw a "recruiting" (or something like that). It was a bit after µ got here..... March of 03 I think. I was here for the great locking and the UBB --> IPB switch.

I was here for the rape of all the posts on the Nova board. As in, the sudden disappearance of everyone's post counts.

I was also here when moony left.

And I scared away a n00b on the Nova board. That was cool.

That was the UBB - IPB switch. And it wasn't really a 'rape', not like it was intended or anything.

I can't believe that was over a year ago now...

It was a rape. Not intended by ASW, but that Invision employee sure did intend to do it.

Look at Belthazar's profile and see what kind of mess it made.

That's your fault for posting on the nova board.

I'm not saying it didn't make a mess, I'm saying that it wasn't intentional. I have a friend who went from 2,000 posts to 120 posts, but, and this is the point I was trying to make, it's only a number.

Also, it's not like we're paying for the right to use this board, so we have no real place to complain if we start losing posts. Hell, if Andrew decided to level everyone down to zero tomorrow, that's his right. people have to remember this isn't a democracy, it's a privatly owned companies web board. Moki is God :P

I also picked up a happy mondays cd for about 4 euro. I can't remember if i like them or not! just have to find out the hard way.

Does the hard way involve sleeping with all of the band members and finding out which ones dump you the next day?
