Most people find they're worth every penny, especially as the OS itself doesn't lock up nearly as much as Windows. (specific applications are their own faults, but I've noticed Office X is far more stable than Office 2000/XP)

I've always wanted one, but I'm stuck with this piece of crap Windows 98. It's the slowest computer ever. If I were to get a Mac though, (miraculously) What is the best one on the market?

PowerMac G5, but that is the professional Mac. The best "consumer" Macs are the eMac and iMac. The difference between the two is the eMac is a CRT and the iMac is a LCD flat screen.
