Give Trah back his topic so he can talk about himself in the 3rd person!

in computer news today,

Trah's computer is now being shipped early because his Dad is a professor at a University, and Apple ships to education first. He is very mad because people who bought Apple computers October 8th get Panther for 20 bucks, and he bought his the 7th so he has to pay $130ish .

You know, over in Cythera, you can get a karma point just by writing and submitting a good chronicle and winning Chronicle of the Month. And since we haven't had a chronicle in something like a month, you won't have very much competition. And it's been so long, Slayer would probably reward you just for submitting one.

There, I'm done with the shameless advertising.

Heh. Similar thing happened to me a while back. We finally convinced my dad that he should buy OS 9 for the home computer (it had been running OS 8.5), then OS X came out two weeks later. My dad was not a happy camper. But considering that our old computer couldn't have handled OS X anyway, it was all right in the end. Now we have a nice new eMac at home and and even better eMac here with me at school Posted Image

In other news today, Trah successfully purchased Panther for the price of 19.95. Trah, interviewed by our very own Trah, said: "w00tage! I finally figured out my mistake was putting my shipping date instead of my order date in the qualification page. Now I expect Panther in less then 5 business days after it is released the 24th of October at 8pm for the low-low price of 19.95 (plus tax)." It was later learned Trah used cheap-o deluxe free shipping to avoid an additional $7 charge to his already depleted cash reserves.

Don't things usually ship after you order them? Thus, putting in the order date would back up the date you're entering making it so you don't qualify...right?

Normally yes, but I think Apple is not enforcing the date. http://www.pbzone.com/ that is a site dedicated to PowerBooks and has all the confusing details you could want about Panther up-to-date.

Pff...no, the first one fails again. You need to put the green print on something like the second one.

I hate to tell you, but it looks like your career is dying before it ever got really going.
