I was in Cambridge last week and found an amazing waffle house on a little side street. Waffle houses being rather uncommon this side of the pond, I just had to sample their sugary goodness!
We had two delicious waffles. As you can see in this picture, I was rather excited by them!

Waffle house is actually good over there?
Over here it's only good at like 3 in the morning, intoxication optional but preferred.

These waffles were divine. So soft, and so nice. The only other place to find waffles is a waffle van, and those aren't so nice...

I don't think he's talking Waffle House (my only Waffle House story involves a family smuggling in their own sides of mustard greens to eat with their waffles at like 8 AM), more some random joint that sells waffles. I'm interested in this waffle van idea, though. I've seen a Starbucks van, but a van shuffling up and down residential streets selling waffles is something I've never considered.

That's pretty much the gist of the story. I was at the Waffle House with my grandparents (my grandfather went through a period while he was dying of cancer where the closest thing to solid food he could eat was pancakes, and he enjoyed the Waffle House for some reason) and a large African American family (mother, father, and like five kids) came in and ordered waffles all around. When they got their food, they started pulling all these little tupperware containers full of mustard greens (I suppose they could've been collard or turnip greens instead) out of a diaper bag and passed them around. It seems absurd, but they all really seemed to enjoy it as a side for their waffles.
It's not really one of my better stories.

One of the more serious discussions we've had I think involved people worried about going off to college and stuff. It's getting towards that time again now, actually.
