So, should I get roundwound or flatwound strings for my new fretless bass?

I don't know much about basses, but I love the feel of flatwounds on guitars. Plus they look cooler. Looks > Functionality. Always.

That was a decent joke.

However, what kind of drum fill is that? Just three bass drum hits? That's pretty pathetic.

I really want a Monster energy drink right now, but I'm too lazy to get off the couch in my dorm room to go buy one. I also had an amazing omelet ( ham and jalapeno ) for breakfast.

Incidentally, has anyone tried any of those monster coffees? I've seen those and they seem interesting. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but if they're good, maybe I'll try one.

I did the same thing a while back when I ended up with my condo, except my purchases were more a really nice toaster instead of an espresso machine and a LCD TV instead of a plasma. I should have gone plasma instead of LCD, but I did get a top of the line ($7,000!) king size mattress which kinda' makes up for it.

Of course, then my grandfather dropped dead and I ended up moving from my condo into my grandmother's 5,000 square foot superbunker to take care of her. The free room and board is nice, but it still isn't hardly my own three bedroom condo. I still have the bed and the TV (and the towels and everything else), but my grandmother refuses to realize the clear superiority of my toaster to her 30 year old model (she maintains that her toaster is brand new, I showed her the manufacturing date of 1977 on the bottom of it and she didn't get the significance of what I was saying, which should give you some idea as to why I'm living over here). I really feel kinda' bad for my poor little toaster, sitting all alone and unused in its box. :P

-Pufer

My mom got a new toaster to match our new kitchen. It's big and green and is supposed to go with the walls or something. It's completely ugly, can only hold two toasts (4-slot toasters are much better), and always sets off the smoke alarm. Just awful. Functionality > Looks. Always.

Eegras, "Your Mom" jokes are always uncalled for, and can offend many people, even if they're not involved.

Telling Eegras not to offend anyone is like telling the sky not to be blue.
Eegras is practically a force of nature. An offensive force.

(Also I doubt "your mom" jokes have much offensive potential anymore.)

They do to me, because I hear about 5 million of them a day, and I'm sick of anything with the phrase "Your mom." To me, it's just retarded. Yo momma jokes are fine, as long as it's within the atmosphere, but saying anything with "Your mom" in it is very offensive to me, even if I'm not involved.

I don't think Zaphod has mastered the feel of the ATT yet. Subject matter aside, it sounds like he's writing something for Help on the Way. I don't think he understands that help of the kind he needs is beyond the scope of this website. He should try Wikipedia or something.

Squiggle rhymes with wiggle. This must be incorporated into a new song that will surely break into the top 100 or something like that.

And "tilde" rhymes with "filled-uh". This new song has to have much food in it.

I agree with lemony. I move that Tilde's last name be pronounced til-dey. All those in favor?

I have a rather large 4-slice toaster oven. It can fit two bagels (cut in half) and one english muffin. It takes a while to toast all that though. Its quite useful for making multiple morning meals at once.

Well, I remember the times when I was 13 years old when I would stuff four pieces of bread in our toaster, jelly them up, then put four more pieces in, and by the time I ate the first four pieces, the second four would be done.
