Honestly, it is far better than any video game.

I already knew that there was stuff I enjoyed more than video games. Like, uh...well, uh...ok I give up.

The problem with controling dreams and mental images is that sometimes it can get out of hand. Sometimes just for practice I'l envision a car driving down the street and then everything starts spinning out of control and I need to turn all my focus on keeping the world still to the point where I have to open my eyes, focus on my ceiling fan and start all over. It gets really annoying when I'm trying to do something constructive in my head while trying to fall asleep.

Another problem is that even if you know things are a dream you don't know it's a dream. I know weird stuff happens in my mind but I can never acknowledge that it's a dream until I wake up. Sure I can control things around me, but only if it goes along with what is actually happening in my dream. I can't just lift up a giant boulder out of nowhere if I'm trying to slay a dragon or something similar.

My control of a dream hasn't gotten out of hand. I don't know what you're talking about when you say you say everything starts spinning out of control when you envision a car.

Whenever I do something unusual in a dream, I know it's a dream. What I do isn't limited to what is "supposed to happen" (what would normally happen in a dream, i.e. me not blowing up valleys between highways with nukes).

That's the point. I can. It's really fun to shoot stuff with lasers in dreams. Try it sometime.

And generally speaking of dreams, last night I had a dream warning me to do something I had forgotten to do for the past 2 weeks.

I can see it now. The first time someone agrees to sleep with Sponge Tom he smashes her over the head and tries to fly off of a bridge. He begins to question his maxim of always going nuts when he is confronted with something too absurd to happen in real life just as he hits the ground.

Having dreams about Garry's Mod is a lot easier and just as effective as lucid dreaming.

I have no clue where you got that from. None of that happened. I shot some lasers, set off a nuclear explosion, and made an energy shield. That's it.

I'd be willing to bet the 100 dollars I don't have that he's as dense as he's acting.

And what I means is this. Imagine a car driving down a road. Now imagine that the car is in a movie. Now the camera is panning around the car really fast so it's orbiting and making the background a blur. That's nuisance one. Nuisance two is this. Imagine standing somewhere doing whatever. Now start spinning around and around really fast in place. That's what I'm talking about. It's bad to the point where I have to open my eyes, and wait. I said this. Stop making me repeat myself. It's pointless enough the first time.

I've banged my head on my desk exactly once in my life. I was in some sort of freshman seminar that we had to take to help us acclimate to college or some such nonsense and the topic turned to the big bang one day. I was arguing for it, and there was some boob with a full sleeve tattoo arguing against it.

"The big bang couldn't have happened, it's impossible!"
"How's that, slick."
"It just can't happen. God wouldn't let it!"
"What does God have to do with it?"
"See here. Have you ever seen a car wreck?
"Um... Yes I have."
"Well, it's like this right? Two cars are coming at each other all MEEEEEAH and RAWWWWWR, right?"
"I suppose."
"So they get up to an intersection and one doesn't stop, and neither does the other and it's like BOOM, CRASH, AAAAAH! Y'know?"
"Sure."
"Yeah, and there's like a big bang, like a big crash sound right?"
"Um... Okay."
"Now when it did this, did a Rolex come flying out of crash, and you just grabbed it and put it on. And it, like, had the right time and everything?"
"Uh... <long pause> No... <long pause> No, that's never happened."
"That's because God didn't let it, see? A big bang doesn't give you Rolexes, and it doesn't give you the planet. It's the rules, like physics and stuff."

I couldn't believe that he actually said that, so I peered into his face hoping to see some cue indicating that he was joking. I found nothing, and it confused me. My brain stopped processing. I was overcome with a physical cringe that ended with me banging my head against the desk a few times in order to snap myself out of it. It was quite possibly the stupidest thing ever uttered in the history of the planet. To this day I'm surprised that the world didn't end at that exact moment.

Wow. I've never hit that level of cluelessness in my life.

Ok here's my last ditch explanation.

1. Stand behind your chair. Start spinning really fast in place. That's exactly what the image in my head looks like if it's from my point of view and everything starts spinning out of control. It takes all my focus just to get everything to stand still.

2.Fix your view on an object. Preferably something with a lot of space around it. Start running in circles around it while focusing on a center point of that object. The view you get from orbiting around it is the second out of control effect that happens if I'm using a birds-eye view.

That clear enough?

Yeah except I don't have any idea what you're referring to. To what you're referring. What does that have to do with Spongey's denseness?

In this post I was talking about two totally different things. First it was exactly what the sentence said. Second was how that if you form an image in your head, the little light spots kinda move and make a little movie. It's basically seeing what you are trying to see. I was talking about something totally different.

sponge tom is dense.

and what i mean is this, real cowboys are not guys that shoot people in saloons. if you're a cowboy, you're a natural romantic. you follow your shadow into the dust, out beyond yonder. you know? serving spoons with holes, and fold them in half to let yourself know there is symetry, and think to yourself "oh, look how that works out". a man's man, a real man, that will purge the world of original sin, is the kind of cowboy, specifically, that will sit. he spits in the sand, and watches it, as it moves in waves, up and away. obviously, he himself is a wave, an isolated entity in itself, but also connected with all other things, (i.e. the water). that is the camera, the spinning. do you see? you spin, as i spin, but we all rotate around ourselves.

there, how was that? am i g-spark yet?

Actually I figured out what he was talking about. He was explaining in more detail what happens when he loses control of his dreams.
There was just no indication of this especially considering it 3 subjects of discussion later.

Daowei, you came nowhere close to the randomness of G-Spark, and Rickton got it correct.

Something else that I noticed, if I'm holding something, sometimes it will start spinning around in my hand and pass through my fingers like they're not there.
