I must admit, I originally thought that µ's name was "moonunit" for "eva" - extra-vehicular activity, the NASA parlance for those spacewalks they do. You've got to admit, that makes some sense in context. At least, more sense than "moonunit forever"...

I thought the same thing- I've always pronounced (mentally) the eva as separate letters- moonunit 4 ee vee ae

The question is. Do you still - now that you know the actual pronunciation?

Pro-phile. The "phile" should not be slurred like phaaal, but should be said very clearly, "phy-all".

Bet none of you saw that pronunciation coming.

I'm still going to say it as "Sar juh TAY nus".

I generally ignore how your name is actually spelled and pronounce it "pedophile".

Really? I always pronounced it "sar guh TAH nus".

Other pronunciations I've been getting wrong:

moonunit4eva: moon unit for eevah (like the Electronic Virtual Assistant from C&C Renegade)

mrxak: murr zak

Pufer: pyoo fer

There are others but I can't remember them right now.

Mrxak I could never decide on. I either thought it was Mrix - zak. Or there was the possibility that it was Mr. Zak.

I'm sure you're all begging to know how I pronounce Anaxagoras (I do -not- use the classic Greek pronunciation). It's kinda like this: uh-nacks-uh-gore-as. NOT ah-nax-agoras. However, if you like to shorten it to 'Anax,' then it is pronounced ah-nax (But don't stretch out the syllables.).

That would make you a cannibal, not a pedophile.
